At 14, I tried to put into words ... and failed ... how I felt after visiting Thomas Jefferson's Monticello.
By no means a perfect man, and he'd be the first to admit that, he was certainly highly accomplished and contributed to history making events.
His home reflected a very innovative and forward thinking man.
The experience broadened and enriched my internal life rather abruptly. This in turn awoke a driving curiosity about everything ... reading and writing are how I satisfy that hunger for knowledge.
