How do you get inspired to write?

Alex Goss I'd always wanted to write a book. I've also always wanted to start my own business. Doing these 2 things is only important to me if they're focused on something I'm truly passionate about (otherwise, what's the point?).

I had the time and mental space to sit down and write, during gardening leave. Seeing how other authors started out was very inspirational for me. I love to see how people go from nothing to something, from an idea to a fully formed book. This made me want to do it myself. To create something that brings other people joy is tremendously rewarding for me.
