Hi Gail. Have you ever done a book signing at a library? If so, how did you go about it?

Gail Carriger Yes, a few. I don't do them often and usually only when I have an active YA series going. Frankly the turn out has never been that great, I feel like they don't do as much promo as bookstores so people don't often know about the event. Or perhaps people just aren't as excited to come to author events at libraries? Libraries can't usually afford to fly me, so I have to already be in town for something else, or it's local to where I live. How do you feel about YA books nowadays? Do you think authors need to branch out more and stop perpetuating the same story line, same characters and same writing styles? Because sometimes I get sick of the same old, same old.
