What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Kristen Casey My maternal grandfather came to the US in the late 1930's from Italy, but there has always been some debate about what exactly he was doing before then. Was he in the Italian army, or not? Was he a race car driver in Rome, or a hairdresser in Hollywood? What's more - how old was he, exactly? When he passed away, our family found more than one birth certificate for him - leading us to wonder what the real story was. If that isn't the plot for a real page-turner, I don't know what is!
