How do you get inspired to write?

Lew Trigg I lived most of my adult life as a business man and although I wrote many short stories and essays I never seemed to find the time to write a novel. When I retired I knew it was now or never. I had no excuses or reasons not to. Three and one-half years later I completed "Gifts from the Sea."
I wanted to write something that would really entertain readers. I made my chapters short and my desire is to allow the readers imagination to "fill in the blanks." As the old saying goes, "less if more."
