Goodreads asked Mark Bradford:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Mark Bradford Well, let's define what that is. I think most people think your brain just shuts down and doesn't want to write. That never happens to me. I always want to write about something. I went through a period where I was working on four writing projects at once, so I would switch back and forth. that switching uses a lot of energy. So now I focus on one until it is done. Since I've done that, I experience something like writer's block - I know I need to write more but am not sure if I want to go a certain direction. I find that in the end it's because I'm focusing on the wrong part of the story. So I re-read it and feel for the missing piece. That and martinis. Lots of martinis. No, just kidding.

PS - The writing group I used to be a part of was called "Writers Bloc." Ha!
