Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Douglas Ewan Cameron My most recent published book is The Witches of Hibbard Corners. In February 2013, I was at a book signing at Barnes and Nobles in Montrose OH (suburb of Akron OH) and sitting next to Sherri Brake who writes about historical books about haunted places. We were discussing my latest book Muddy Waters, which I wrote for young adults. Sherri said if I wanted to get young adult readers I should write about vampires. I had no interest in vampires but the thought persisted and about a month later the thought came to me, "What is four witches were out on the late winter's ice having a summoning ceremony ..." Well, you'll have to read the book to find the answer.
