Goodreads asked Thee Ace Man:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Thee Ace Man I really feel I'm not much of a writer. I pretty much just do things. One of the things I needed to do was kind of document my life story in search of answers. About 3 years later, August 25/26, 2015, I figured out my answers for myself. I've led an interesting life so far and trying to recall all the information time after time gets difficult as there is so much there to remember. Also, trying to recall things off the top of your head all the time can lead to missing pieces here and there. Writing it all down makes it convenient in one place. Also, I didn't want to just do a "How great I think I am" kind of autobiography and I wanted to include the reader as a character too. I was searching for answers about life and I figured the reader is searching for answers too. The rough part was that many of the stories that were included involved people that had passed away and if you've ever tried to get permission from a dead person, you know how impossible that can be. So I improvised as best as I could without being specific. I am also glad that I wrote 'The New Math' when I did because if I had waited a few more years, the book would have become much more 'preachy' which I still don't want. It's just one of those personal things that I'm glad I thought to do and did.
