How do you deal with writer’s block?

Eric Auxier Either put the writing in a drawer and let your subconscious work on it for awhile (for that 3am inspiration!), or...sit down and write 1 single paragraph. That's your goal, one paragraph. After that, more ideas will begin to flow, and before you know it, you've got another scene written.
Barring all that, sit down and write more backstory for your characters, that you don't necessarily intend to publish or reveal. It will help you to learn those characters that much more.
