I recently acquired the 1980s Del Rey printing of Master of the Five Magics but learned here on Goodreads that you're issuing 2nd editions of this trilogy. How will these editions differ from the originals?

I am happy to hear that you have bought MFM and hope you enjoy it.
The basic plot flow of the two editions is the same, but there are some differences in the second edition:
1. Added some chapters in both the beginning and ending -
Some more backstory on Alodar
Longer final confrontation
2. Added an author's afterward
How I came to write the book and what I wanted to achieve
3. Added a glossary
Links to wikipedia for all of the (perhaps) unusual terms
A few extra little jokes
