What are you currently working on?

Joseph Adrien Emmanuel Demes Now, I am working on two (2) research project with the University of Washington / ITECH (International Training and Education Center on Health). Those research are funded by NIH (National Institute for Health). You know in Haiti, the HIV prevalence is the highest in the Caribbean region. My mentor, Nancy Puttkamer form the University of Washington get a grant from NIH so we could do research on how to improve adherence to HIV treatment (Anti-Retroviral Treatment) for HIV patient. We are also working on how to help more people get tested and know their HIV status. Once they get tested, they need to be linked to care and follow their treatment. Once they are on care, their viral load need to be undetectable. That is a huge challenge for Haiti. This research project will come with innovative strategies to overcome key obstacles to HIV prevention and HIV management in Haiti.

I am also doing research on Continuous Quality Improvement Program: The factor that facilitates or impede the implementation of CQI program.

I am also a professor at the University.

I am also promoting my book: How to Improve the Quality of Your Life?

And I am also working in the Humanitarian field to help poor people.

A lot of activities on my plate!
