How do you get inspired to write?

Vanda Krefft Most professional writers I know don't wait to get inspired to write. If they did, they would write very little at all. I'm in that camp. I believe it's best to write every day regardless of the way you feel--essentially, to chase after the inspiration rather than waiting for it to find you. Through disciplined, persistent effort, you will catch up to inspiration.
