It's 7.11 am, 16 minutes until the she needs to be at the bus stop, two more than she needs thanks to her smoother than silk getting-ready-routine which she sticks to like burrs on a sock despite her slightly later start this morning. She slings open the fridge, then notices the empty milk bottle on the kitchen bench, the coffee jar left open, a dirty teaspoon sticking out of it and silently curses her one night stand for the horror commute she will now have to endure without her morning latte.
