How do you get inspired to write?

Rachel Tremblay I don't wait to get inspired, I sit down and write, and usually one word follows the other. I have a mantra that goes "This might be [poop] but that's fine, I'm having fun." And I let myself have that fun. Any critiquing from that buzz-kill side of myself is shown the hand. I also like to invite my weirder side (though both sides might be just as weird as the other) to sit in my lap and take the wheel. Sometimes it just sits in the passenger seat but we usually figure out where to go together.
