Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Christine D. Shuck My most recent book, Gliese 581: The Departure, is actually a compilation of two stories: a trip to another planet with a saboteur aboard and a devastating virus.

I originally thought of the devastating virus while waiting in a drive-thru lane around 20 years ago. The thought went like this, "What if a woman came driving up to the window, stark naked, put her car in park and proceeded to eat ten combo meals until her stomach exploded?"

Yeah, well, maybe I shouldn't have shared that, now you all know what dark places my mind goes to.
