How do you get inspired to write?

Elliot Spencer Insiration comes in many forms of course. For my memoir "They said I was misguided" the inspiration was always there, as a need to share my story and also as a form of therapy for me.
Often, I am simply struck by a certain person I meet, or a situation I find myself in which resonates with me in some way and makes me think about what kind of journey could develop from there. The excitement of being able to attribute any possibility to these situations, gives me the inspiration to start writing and see where it takes me.
