Goodreads asked Tanya R. Simon:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Tanya R. Simon I sing. Whatever song goes through my mind, because there is always a song in there. I may have to get up and go cook dinner or stop and go play a game, but what really clears out the cobwebs is the song. If a upbeat happy song pops in my head, I write a light scene and it just hops from my fingers onto the keys and leaps out onto the page. If it is a sad song, it bleeds from my heart, weeps through my fingers and gathers onto the page. The song always gets me writing again. Try it sometime, you have nothing to lose and you always get the pleasure of singing the song.
