I have loved every single Payne and Jones, and just about to launch into the Hunters. Personally I think you're the best writer in this genre, even the best (dare I say, including Clive Cussler, who I also love.) I was curious about why you decided to publish Origins as an ebook only. And did you aim to maintain the same standard as with the others? I've been seriously disappointed with some others' ebook quality.

As for your question, BEFORE THE STORM (the first entry in the HUNTERS: ORIGINS series) is a novella, so it was way too short to publish as a print book. As for the ebook quality, I use a great designer so the book should be professional quality.

I love Payne and Jones who keep me laughing all the way through, making a great story awesome. Once you have your story idea, how do you then develop the plot? Is research something you do before you start, or as you go? And what else do you do as part of your process?
