What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Rachel Marie Martin Hahaha. I'm sure everyone is thinking it's the creativity to express thoughts and ideas. I love that part of writing and changing the lives of others with words. But sometimes, I just grin and smile, because as a writer, I've made my own grammar rules. Who would have thought that the eleventh grader sitting in English class with a paper marked up would one day be able to say, "nah, that's not my writing style." So I consider that a hidden and awesome benefit.
