I'm lucky in that I don't really feel that I need inspiration as such. I do need time, and an atmosphere of calm. Then, whatever comes, comes--sometimes pretty good, other times in need of repair. By repair, of course, I mean editing. To me, the inspiration comes with hard-nosed editing.
