Goodreads asked Melody Felix-Prieto:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Melody Felix-Prieto Having the ability to write whatever I want without having a budget in mind or technical difficulties. My background is in film. I went to film school, wanted to be a writer-director growing up. One of the drawbacks about being a filmmaker (especially one without money) is not having the freedom to film whatever you want. Even if you do have the budget, you have to run your ideas with a producer, so the ability to express yourself freely is limited.
