Goodreads asked Sophie Fletcher:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Sophie Fletcher Just blog. Like many people I had always wanted to write, and I just did it, through blogging. I had no idea that people actually read my blogs - I just loved writing them. Someone did read it, which then took me on a journey I didn't expect. I think it's easy to write a book, but it's harder to write a good book. The process is sometimes tough and you have got to grind it out! If you have an idea go for it, but be very clear about what your message is, and structure it well. A well thought out structure takes a while, but makes the book a lot easier to write, and a lot easier to read. I'd recommend getting a freelance editor to help with this if you are serious about wanting to get it to print - this really helped me with the first book.
