The best advice I received from multiple authors is, just write. You can’t edit something you haven’t written.
I’ve learned to write down my ideas. Sometimes it’s complete gibberish and I have to decipher it later but the idea is now on paper giving me options. Now I can use it by molding it into a scene or maybe scrap it altogether. Either way, because I wrote the words, I can do something with it. So, write.
