Kaitlyn Krispense
Kaitlyn Krispense asked Kate Willis:

Any tips on writing the acknowledgements section of a book?

Kate Willis Thanks for asking, Kaitlyn! I'd say, mainly, take notes throughout the writing/publishing process of who has helped and encouraged you along the way. Sometimes, especially when there is so much to do, it's easy to forget those small yet meaningful interactions. If you're planning to write multiple books, it can be helpful to have a "format" of how you are going to write your acknowledgments. I love to write mine out in a list, with the name of the person (or group!) coming first and what I'm thanking them for after. And last, but not least, have fun with it! Those of us who get to read your acknowledgments love the joyful, inside jokes you share with your supportive community, whether or not we can understand them. ;)
