I am fascinated by foodie culture in America: how we eat, how we cook, celebrity chefs, the contrast between the haves and the have-nots. I thought if I could just push the decadence and privilege in this story a little bit further, there would be a lot of insight there. That's how my novel Consider the Feast was born.
