Goodreads asked A.N. Britton:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

A.N. Britton I get writer's block when I have a story snarl that I haven't reconciled yet. At least my unconscious knows there is a snarl, even if my conscious mind wants to keep trucking along. I've found I can't push the resolution. It works best for me to have a side project I can switch over to when I'm blocked on my main one. It keeps me working, productive, and positive. The side project is usually a completely different style of writing or genre. Most of the time, the snarl works itself out in the background and a I have an epiphany a couple of days down the line. Voila! Then I pop back over to my #1.
