Goodreads asked Andrew James Pritchard:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Andrew James Pritchard Read a lot of books by a wide variety of writers from different genres. Write as much as you can every day, you don't have to write 10 pages a day like Stephen King, but a page or two or even just a few lines if fine. write about anything that you find interesting, even if you're not sure anyone else will, if you can't think of anything from your own life that make it up, even if it sounds impossible. Show your writing to your friends and family whenever you can and never give-up if they ever try to discourage you, not everyone will like your writing and that can't be helped, but that doesn't mean that no one will ever like what you write.
