Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Sandra Julian Barker Ideas for new books and stories come to me all the time. The idea for my latest book, "Ordinary Women - Extraordinary God, volume two," came from the life stories and tragedies I hear about from women all around me. So many women cross my path who have been through some pretty rough stuff in their lives. Some of these women are such lights for Jesus through all they've suffered. In spite of their pain and/or loss, they praise God for giving them the strength to get through it. A tragedy in my own life is included in that mix. Each of the 16 women in this book desire to point others toward God and bring Him glory. And so, I interview the women and they share their stories and feelings with me and I, hopefully, present them in a way that will be an encouragement to readers. In the process, the women who share their stories feel good about it, like their suffering has had purpose by helping others and glorifying God. It's truly a labor of love.
