You should write because your soul depends on it. If you're doing it for the money, stop. Edgar Allan Poe decided he would make his living solely on writing. It didn't work for Poe, and it won't work for you, either. Don't quit your day job. That said, keep writing. Don't allow anyone to tear your dreams asunder. Remember, being a writer isn't about fame and fortune. It's about the ability to live a thousand lives.
