How do you get inspired to write?

E.W. Cooper I don't wait for inspiration. I just write. Because the books are a part of a series, I am always thinking about what Penelope and Thom might be doing next, where they might go, or who they might meet. There are always three or four good ideas rattling about in my head when I start a mystery. I never know what is going to inspire an idea so I keep my mind open. Also, I listen to a lot of music and I read a great deal.
