Goodreads asked Lela Lee:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Lela Lee If I get stuck on something, I move to another part of the project. If I'm really stuck, I switch activities. I find that when I do an activity that is automatic, like driving or washing dishes, ideas or solutions will come to the problem I've been working on. When this happens, I make sure to write it down immediately. I scribble notes on scraps of paper, napkins, whatever I can find. I also carry a pen and notebook in my purse if I'm out. I keep my little notebooks and scraps of papers for years so when I use something I've jotted down, I make sure to put a check mark next to it.
