What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Mahina Perrot I personally have a degree in Communications and have worked as a journalist for over 10 years, but I don't believe you necessarily need a degree to become a writer. If you have great idea, write them down, try and follow a book format, just do it give it a go, without ever thinking about selling it, but on big tip is: share it! show it to at least one person you trust. That happened to me, I hadn't let anyone see a book I wrote in 2009 and when he read it his response was mind-blowing! He said "wow this book needs to get out! You write so well and it teaches kids about deforestations etc) - I am about to finish that one too, called the adventures of Izel the black panther, which will be for older children (12 to 14) and is about 160 pages long. But the thing is, I started it ages ago, and it's okay. I suggest you start writing whenever you feel an idea popping up. At least have a notebook for your ideas. Then when you have the time, or I would say, try and "make" time to focus on this maybe 2 hours a week at the beginning, longer if you can, to sit in front of your computer and then, don't let fear block you, just start writing, no matter how it sounds to you, write, write, write, and after a while it'll become easier and easier!
