When summer finally comes! Not sure yet, more cosy mysteries !

She left the bookstore in a hurry, holding on to her latest purchased and as she ran, thinking about how cosy she'd be reading at home on this cold night, a man came out of a dark alleyway and stabbed her in the chest, leaving her for death. Stunned, lying on the freezing and damp street floor, she realised that the book she'd just bought had a deep slash across it and her eyes burned as she shed tears of pain at losing this book but also of joy at knowing it had just saved her life!

I've had to deal with it for years, and now it's almost gone. When it comes back, I leave my manuscript for a few days, and trust the motivation and inspiration will come back. But something I heard on a Ted talk stuck with me too: "You'll never feel like doing it", and she was talking about everything In general, dieting, etc. And it just stuck in my mind and actually helped me overcome the block I felt when writing about my adventures. Don't wait for you to feel good enough and motivated enough to write. I found that no matter how tired or nor inspired I feel, if I just open the computer file and start writing, I'll keep writing. Still though, being a writer is intuitive, to me anyway, so there are times when you may do this and write but it all sounds wrong and you just don't feel like it's working. If that's the case;, drop it, do something else. I find that when I meditate, or do other activities, when I know I can't write right now, inspiration suddenly comes! So in the supermarket, in the car during traffic, wherever I am I always carry a notebook in case inspiration comes so I don't forget the words that came. The main thing though is also to trust yourself. I have written 10 books in just a few months yet the one book I started in 2009 is still sitting there, fully complete (first draft) but half-way through the second draft. I think it is because I put a lot of myself in this book, and I love it, but I guess it never seems good enough when I edit it, yet I can't wait to finish it too. I think we also need to be okay with the fact that a book, even perfectly edited, can Always be changed, it could always be better (like any artwork) but it could also be worse. you have to feel happy to write and not have too high standards, though these are good, but just, at some point, decide that your book is good enough, that you're satisfied. Do go back to it until you feel that way, but don't spend too much time thinking about it without actually writing. it is the fear of not writing a good enough book, and sometimes even the fear of knowing our book can be a great success, that prevents us from writing! But there's nothing to fear, we all have something to share with the world! So share your story too! xx

Oh! so many things! First I love the freedom I have to choose any topic I want to write about, I also love the variety of the books I write. I thought I wanted to focus on children's books only but as it turned out I wrote a book for adults about my adventures in untamed places such as Brazil and Africa, and thoroughly enjoyed it, and I most loved writing my latest book, Manifesting, because I know it will be of service to others, and it is also a book I am always carrying with me myself, since I find it so efficient. But I like to vary. I actually thought about which part I enjoyed most, in the writing process, but the thing is, each is so different, and just stimulating and amazing! I love getting the first ideas, getting the first draft done, I used t not enjoy doing the second draft and editing, but now I do, and then putting it in the right format, and even doing the covers, coming up with tag-lines and doing the promotion work are also parts I truly enjoy! The best thing ever though, is to be able to hold THE book you're written IN YOUR OWN HANDS! Nothing beats the sense of love, fulfilment and satisfaction you get when you have your very own book with you!

I personally have a degree in Communications and have worked as a journalist for over 10 years, but I don't believe you necessarily need a degree to become a writer. If you have great idea, write them down, try and follow a book format, just do it give it a go, without ever thinking about selling it, but on big tip is: share it! show it to at least one person you trust. That happened to me, I hadn't let anyone see a book I wrote in 2009 and when he read it his response was mind-blowing! He said "wow this book needs to get out! You write so well and it teaches kids about deforestations etc) - I am about to finish that one too, called the adventures of Izel the black panther, which will be for older children (12 to 14) and is about 160 pages long. But the thing is, I started it ages ago, and it's okay. I suggest you start writing whenever you feel an idea popping up. At least have a notebook for your ideas. Then when you have the time, or I would say, try and "make" time to focus on this maybe 2 hours a week at the beginning, longer if you can, to sit in front of your computer and then, don't let fear block you, just start writing, no matter how it sounds to you, write, write, write, and after a while it'll become easier and easier!

I am currently working on finishing Tomes 2 and 3 (each containing 3 little stories) of "Louise's marvellous world". These tomes are mainly bilingual, French/English, though I also make them available only in French and only in English, so it becomes accessible to as many children as possible. it is about the life of a little girl living on a farm, but throughout the Tomes, she changes and grows, and learns about life and deep down I hope this will inspire children to dream, and understand core values such as respect, kindness, love, etc

Inspiration comes and goes, as writers we all know that. I am lucky to have been living at my parents' house during the covid crisis and so for the first time ever I've had a lot of time for myself. I had been wanting to be an author since I was a little girl, but the time felt right then, so I started. Inspiration comes when I write about what really matters to me but what is also something I really want to share with the world. If I write about my adventures, it is because I want to share it with others, friends and family and fellow adventurers and travellers. I wrote Manifesting because I know the process I put in place will help others the same way it helped me. I am writing children's books because I love seeing the look on the kids' faces when they get a new book and get inspired by a new story, but for the latest big series of kids books I am writing "Louise's marvellous world", the inspiration simply came from watching our 3-year-old cutest neighbour play around the farm! She's my little muse and the main character is named after her!

My most recent book was "Manifesting". I have always made all of my dreams come true (I travelled to all the places I wanted to, did all the jobs I wanted, lived in the African wilderness which is something I really wanted etc) and I realised I had been creating my reality my entire life, without really realising how. I was right in the phase of thinking of a new life for myself when everything started to line up for me (as things always do, when we follow our heart). I had been learning about the law of attraction, quantum physics etc over the last few years and the inspiration just came to me when I realised there was an actual process that always worked for me and I decided to write this book to share it with others around the world because I know it will help whoever reads it and apply that simple yet powerful process can also make their dreams come true!
