Ross Greenwood
Ross Greenwood asked David Ward:

I find it hard to hold the book in my head when so much other stuff is going on! Do you write in one go and plough on, or stop and edit as you write?

David Ward Thanks for your question Ross. Sorry for my delay answering, I'm just getting my next book out.
I write away, and do a first edit as I go. But I do several more when the book's completed. By the end, I guess I've been through eight times in total. But I try to edit in such a way that the energy of the original draft doesn't get lost along the way. I go for grammatical correctness, but not if it detracts from the passion I wanted the story to convey.
Does that help? Hope so.
