I read books. I listen to audiobooks. I listen to podcasts and the news. I watch movies and television and plays. They're all stories and equally valid. I don't think there's a hierarchy, as in some are more important than others. I get inspiration from hearing good stories no matter what their form. Sometimes, a good story will unlock something that I'm working on - even if what I'm working on has seemingly nothing to do with what I've just read or heard. Other times, a question or a memory will pop into my head and that will lead to a new idea.
