When I was in sixth grade, we went on a two-night field trip. In the afternoon of the first day, I stepped out of the building and right into the basketball court, where some boys from my class were playing. One guy was saying, "Elaine is so--" just when I walked out. Another kid cut him off and I never learned the end of that sentence. It haunts me.
