Goodreads asked M.J. Marsh:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

M.J. Marsh This is a good one for me. Cause I am a former journalist, so I have coping mechanisms to meet deadlines and ensure constant productivity.

I have a sliding scale of writing productivity. If I feel I'm not currently in my creative pants, I edit. If I'm too hungover myself for that, I spell-check or use the excellent browser add-on app LanguageTool to find missing commas, em-dashes etc.

If I'm mega slack I come on sites like this, or Reddit, Royal Road or even wore Scribophile and waste time... Interacting with humans... No future in it...
