How do you get inspired to write?

Rebekah Zanders I get inspired by obscure news stories or odd trivia. But I am also inspired by the people watching my husband and I like to do when we are out to dinner or having a drink at the bar. We try to figure out situations and possible stories, and the longer we observe, the more outlandish the story becomes. It has always been a hobby of ours, but over the years, it has added to my internal story bank.
