How do you get inspired to write?

David Schoorens It was something I always wanted to do. And I felt I had the ability to write, at least on some level. So, it simply came down to proving to myself I could write a decent story.
There is another reason. I suppose I could have spent the time and resources play a lot of golf. But once I walked off the 18th hole, it would not last. With a novel, I was leaving something longer lasting than the memory of a good five iron shot onto the green.
