Goodreads asked Cheryl Landmark:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Cheryl Landmark I know this is cliché, but NEVER GIVE UP. There are people out there who want to read your stories as much as you want to write them. Don't let a few obstacles or rejections smother those creative juices in you that are just clamoring for release. But, you must also ensure that what you release to the discerning reading public is a polished work of art that has been painstakingly edited and tweaked until it positively shines. There is nothing that turns readers off more quickly than a story full of plot holes, spelling and grammatical errors, poorly developed characters, awkward and clunky sentence structure or dialogue, etc.
