Goodreads asked Pamela Aares:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Pamela Aares There's this powerful alchemy that happens for me. Characters come first. Then I start to ask questions of them.

The idea for AIM FOR LOVE, Book#5 in the Tavonesi Series, was inspired by a phenomenal samurai. True samurai have a physical, mental and spiritual training that sets them apart. Some well-precticed samurai can face a person aiming a BB gun at them and firing a 2mm ceramic BB from 70 feet and the samurai master can draw a sword and slice it in two before it hits them. Amazing. And I imagined just how excellent a Major League baseball pitcher would be if he had that skill and training. Add to that a wine country heiress turned overnight Hollywood sensation -- and yet haunted by the troubled woman she plays in the film-- and immediate chemistry exploded into action.

In AIM FOR LOVE Hollywood sensation, Sabrina Tavonesi, is struggling with nightmares from doing her first film, and has only three weeks to rehab a shoulder injury before shooting begins on the next one. Sexy baseball pitching phenom, Kaz Tokugawa, offers her a solution…a crazy samurai practice she’s too desperate to turn down. But when Kaz begins to heal Sabrina's lonely heart as well as her shoulder, the secrets they've both been harboring may destroy their life as well as their love.
