How do you get inspired to write?

Mike Bushman My writing follows two very distinct paths, with inspirations that seem at first to be disconnected. The futurist political thrillers of the Melting Point series are inspired by a desire to identify our governing flaws and fix them before people suffer even further serious consequences. My mental health writing, limited at this point to "Suicide Escape," focuses on helping people identify mental health challenges and discover a path to fixing them before it's too late. In all cases, my inspiration is creating a better future for people, based on what I've learned from my personal history and study of the world's history.
