Goodreads asked Jennifer Slattery:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Jennifer Slattery Always finish what you start. It's too easy to quit mid - novel when things get tough, but each time you quit one story and move on to the next, it's easier to quit the next one. Every story is fixable! Second, never give up! They say only about 10% of writers get published. I say that's because the other 90% quit! And what if they quit one month before their first contract offer? They'll never know.
