Nancy! How lovely of you to use the hindi word for congratulations that my characters use in my novels. I love it! I’m so honored that you read the first novel of the trilogy. Perhaps you’ll pick up the remaining novels: THE SECRET KEEPER OF JAIPUR and THE PERFUMIST OF PARIS. You’ll follow the lives of the same characters over 18 years. I am so glad to be reading your book -The Henna Artist. I am enjoying it so much that I am reading one chapter a day because I don't want the story to end. I am doing a research on women writers from Rajasthan, for that purpose, I'd love to know more about what inspired you to start writing for this book at the first place?

I read The Henna Artist and The Secret Keeper of Jaipur over four days this week and loved every bit of it. I can't wait to journey back into Lakshmi's world to see how she and her wonderful family are doing. Will you bring her sister back to India in the next story? Will Samir tell Nikki who he is? Will Ravi finally get his comeuppance? Please keep writing - you do it so beautifully.
