Dear Ms Khanani, Will there be a second Thorn? I just stayed up half the night reading it, it is absolutely incredible! Your characters especially the Princess Alyrra are so strong. She has become my absolute favorite female protagonist. There seems to be a lot of potential for a sequel. Will there be?

I am so honored that you enjoyed Thorn so much, and sacrificed sleep for it--that has to be one of the highest compliments an author can receive! Alyrra and I have spent many years together, and I love her dearly, but I'm afraid I wont be writing more of her story from her perspective. However, if you pick up my free short story, "The Bone Knife," you'll meet another character whom I think you'll enjoy as well. Rae has a story coming in a companion novel / trilogy to Thorn, where she will end up working for Alyrra and you'll see some developments and conclusions from her perspective. So there will be more of Alyrra, just not through her eyes. :)
If you'd like updates on when to look for that release, you can sign up for my author newsletter (which never goes out more than once a month, and typically goes out less!), or just visit me again here on GoodReads. My guess at this point is that it will be early next year before I'll have news on that storyline. Thanks so much for writing!

I was completely delighted with the ending of Thorn...l loved the way the characters were left grappling with the actual effects of their decisions instead of being tied up in a charming bow, with all loose ends clipped! I know you have said you will not revisit Alyrra, but l feel like the Sorceress has legs. Possible she will appear in future novels? PS, oops! Misspelled your name in my review, now corrected!

Hello! I've just finished reading Thorn- and what can I say? I loved it, in every sense of the word. Especially that question of mercy and justice- that simply spoke to my soul. A part of me is glad that there isn't a sequel to Thorn, yet I've been captured by it's world- and certain characters. Like Red Hawk. I feel that his life is brimming with stories - he is a story, himself. What do you plan to do with him?

Hi, I was wondering if you could list Dragon Slayer Number 9 as one of your works so that we could leave reviews? I know it's short, but every review counts and you did ask us to give you a shout out about it! I would be happy to direct readers of my review to the newsletter signup page. (And now you have made me want to check out the Eggers book, by the way.)
