Inspiration for writing comes from many sources – ideas from stories or film and even news articles can trigger ideas e.g. a documentary about an unexplained explosion in 1908 in Siberia that resembled a nuclear explosion triggered an idea about an exploding spaceship, which was the initial catalyst for the Blue Star story.
