It's usually really odd things that inspire me, I'll pass someone in the street that's wearing something unusual, or I'll overhear a fragment of conversation. Then I'll spend an hour storming around the house trying to remember where there's a notebook and by the time I've found it, I'll usually have forgotten what it was I was going to write down.
