Goodreads asked Tom Stone:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Tom Stone As I said above, I never had it. But there are days when I really feel that the well is dry. When I have no ideas, and nothing to write, and am certain that I never will again. So what I do is, I decide to write just a couple of sentences, maybe even one. Or maybe just some scratches, a few notes. So I sit there noodling for the prescribed amount of time I set for working, which is about 3 to 4 hours in the mornings. Almost inevitably, that one sentence leads to three or four hours of work. At the end, it may not be very good, but it usually leads to a much more productive session the following day.
