Goodreads asked Sabrina Lacey:

How do you get inspired to write?

Sabrina Lacey Once I have a character in mind, plus a situation, it all flows from there. I have a daily word count quota. I don't stop writing until I've hit that, so the inspiration comes from falling in love with the character(s) and what they're going through, and the "inspired to write" comes from discipline. If I don't make myself hit the quota every day, then these ideas, and my character's lives, would just float around in the ethers.

As far as what stories inspire me - I love flawed bumpy roads to love. My people aren't perfect, they're more human than that. I allow them to fall down and get back up on their own, with me journaling about it as they go. Because I never plan plot, I'm always surprised and that keeps things interesting.
