Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Kimberly Ranee Hicks Silent Knight is a story that came from my upbringing having to grow up in the projects. Much like Clarence, my family didn't have a choice in the matter, so we had to make the best of a rather unfavorable decision. Many of the characters are real people I grew up around. Many who read the story said the characters appeared real, and now you know why because many are patented after people I actually know or knew. Another reason I wrote this book is because I absolutely loved the 70s. It was my favorite decade thus far! From the clothing to the music, it was a very exciting time to live. I'm so glad I was a part of the movement!
